About FLO
Florence Anderson -Simms that also goes by the name Flo, is the proud owner of Flowing in Harmoni Spa in beautiful Ocoee, Fl. She has been a licensed massage therapist for 12 years. She developed the love of massage when her grandmother suffered from pain after having shingles. Her grandmother would ask her to massage her back to help her to alleviate her pain. Flo's grandmother would tell her "that her hands where blessed and she felt healed".
Flo is highly trained in many modalities. Pain management and therapeutic massage therapy is her specialty. Pre-op and post- Op and therapeutic massage is her most popular services that she provides. After having major surgery manual lymphatic drainage sessions is essential.The clients see a major difference in their recovery. She use LED light therapy, MPS, percussion gun therapy, cupping, stretching and sauna to achieve the best results in her sessions.
In addition "Body stretch Flow" is a stretching class that is done at the spa. It helps the clients stretch better so that they can have better range of motion. Finding the root cause of problem at hand is her focus for recovery of her clients. Wellness is important to Flo and her client. She educates each clients of the importance of taking time out to take care of their well-being by continuing their wellness journey. She shows them the proper techniques they can do at home to help continue their wellness treatment. Flo incorporates breathing exercises, music therapy and relaxation techniques in an effective way to assist in her clients mind, body and spirit connection. Being a active listener is a skill that Flo use with her clients. Listening to their concerns helps her to customize their treatment.
At Flowing in Harmoni Spa she hosts many wellness events such as mind body Flow, tea tasting, the art of grounding, the art of painting, flowga, harmony and balance meditation, the art of letting go and so much more. Flo is involved in her community where she volunteers to the local schools, church, cancer/ diabetes foundations, battered women shelters. She has wellness retreats throughout year with different wellness providers that educates on different wellness topics. Her mission is to educate people on the holistic approach to wellness with massage. Everyone deserves a massage for their wellness journey. Her clients range from children,pregnant women, elderly and Olympic athletes. Flo provides support to veterans and police officers by helping them manage pain and stress through massage therapy.
She has encountered many women that thought they could never get a massage due to various reasons such as they never had safe touch,finances or they just don't think they are good enough. That was disheartening to hear that. So, she started giving give back to the community with her wellness kits and she offers free massages several times throughout the year.
